Positions:
Lead Product Developer (Perl)

Position Description

Primary responsibilities for role:
- Develops and tests product code according to BMC quality standards.
- Maintains knowledge of product environments and applicable software
technologies.
- Provides complete documentation in the form of commented code,
problem status information, and design documents.
- Performs thorough problem analysis that results in resolution of
product-related problems according to BMC support standards.
- Completes code and other deliverables on schedule.
- Performs thorough unit testing; supports systems and integration
testing as required to provide a quality product.
- Assists in marketing of BMC products as required by PM&D management.
- Provides input to the Technical Writers for all product
documentation.
- Defines the functional specification of program modules ensuring
functionality, quality and ease of maintainability.
- Accurately estimates the size and scope of the development effort as
measured by the product delivery schedule

Position Requirements

- Experience in architecting complex framework and platform solutions
using web technologies.
- Experience in application development platform for building
enterprise application and business critical business processes that
involves workflow automation and process orchestration.
- Strong ability to architect, design and develop Object Oriented and
Service Oriented software with practical use of design patterns.
- Experience with writing business logic for applications using Object
Oriented Perl. Experience with C++ is a plus.
- Experience with distributed systems or a large enterprise background
is a plus
- Must have strong decision-making skills; take-charge personality,
and the ability to drive a plan to completion combined with good
written and oral communication.
- Good understanding of high-availability and scalable platform
architecture.
- Good understanding of troubleshooting and performance tuning of
multi-layered application.
