Positions:<br>
Lead Product Developer (Perl)<br>
<br>
Position Description<br>
<br>
Primary responsibilities for role:<br>
- Develops and tests product code according to BMC quality standards.<br>
- Maintains knowledge of product environments and applicable software<br>
technologies.<br>
- Provides complete documentation in the form of commented code,<br>
problem status information, and design documents.<br>
- Performs thorough problem analysis that results in resolution of<br>
product-related problems according to BMC support standards.<br>
- Completes code and other deliverables on schedule.<br>
- Performs thorough unit testing; supports systems and integration<br>
testing as required to provide a quality product.<br>
- Assists in marketing of BMC products as required by PM&D management.<br>
- Provides input to the Technical Writers for all product<br>
documentation.<br>
- Defines the functional specification of program modules ensuring<br>
functionality, quality and ease of maintainability.<br>
- Accurately estimates the size and scope of the development effort as<br>
measured by the product delivery schedule<br>
<br>
Position Requirements<br>
<br>
- Experience in architecting complex framework and platform solutions<br>
using web technologies.<br>
- Experience in application development platform for building<br>
enterprise application and business critical business processes that<br>
involves workflow automation and process orchestration.<br>
- Strong ability to architect, design and develop Object Oriented and<br>
Service Oriented software with practical use of design patterns.<br>
- Experience with writing business logic for applications using Object<br>
Oriented Perl. Experience with C++ is a plus.<br>
- Experience with distributed systems or a large enterprise background<br>
is a plus<br>
- Must have strong decision-making skills; take-charge personality,<br>
and the ability to drive a plan to completion combined with good<br>
written and oral communication.<br>
- Good understanding of high-availability and scalable platform<br>
architecture.<br>
- Good understanding of troubleshooting and performance tuning of<br>
multi-layered application.<br>
