Perl Mongers,

That's great news, Will. HostGator is looking for Perl developers and uses
Perl. Maybe their people will take an interest and do some presentations.

In any event, now is the time to pin down a date and a topic for our next
meeting so people can make plans to attend. We can make adjustments as
needed. Put the bug in the HostGator contacts ear to see if any of their
people are interested in presenting. Maybe lightning talks would be an way
to get the ball rolling.

How is Perl used in the Health Care community.
More stuff on big data.
NoSQL databases and Perl.

Throw some ideas out there, everyone. Austin is the 11th largest city in
the US and has a huge technology industry. We need to have an active and
involved Perl community. IMHO

Tuesday, January 7th? Does that work for HG? I'd like to get an
announcement up on the meetup group as soon as possible. Will Matt still be
here? I think Reini told me Cpanel has 150 Perl developers. How many does
HostGator employ? Would someone there present or lightning talk on how
HostGator uses Perl. I imagine mostly for sysadmin work. Are they doing
anything with Catalyst?

Best Regards,

Jack Lupton
