I don't know. Usually the are nice people and respond quickly if
someone opens a ticket with a rejection issue.

I am a bit far away to be the primary contact but in any case I asked
the organizers
of the event if they have community stands. If they say yes we will
need some more organization.

Regarding the talks I think that's an individual thing and you need to
apply yourself.
You can take a look at last years schedule to get ideas

It might be interesting to discuss what kinds of talks will be good to submit.
