Jeremy Price, the listed group leader of Canberra PM, is current missing. His
currently registered address with pm.org ( http://www.pm.org/groups/537.html )
is bouncing. If you're happy to become the new leader then all you need to do
is follow the instructions here:

http://groups.pm.org/faq.html#how_do_i_request_a_new_group_or_to_reactivate_a_group_that_has_been_inactive

although familiarising yourself with most of the rest of the information on that
page is probably a good idea too. Once you do this, you will be responsible for
keeping the website up to date (for some definition of up to date) and
moderating posts/spam from non-members to the list.

With respect to keeping the website up to date, you are more than welcome to
redirect http://canberra.pm.org/ to point to the PerlNet wiki Canberra PM page
http://perl.net.au/wiki/Canberra_Perl_Mongers (which is also a bit out of date).
This way everyone can then help maintain your page. perl.net.au (run by Paul
and myself) has fairly good spam capturing and monitoring, so your page should
be fairly safe from bot-vandalism. Sydney Perl Mongers does this at
http://sydney.pm.org

If you have any questions, I'd be delighted to help. davorg's sent out the
census this morning: http://use.perl.org/article.pl?sid=08/05/11/2133229 So
there's no time to waste!

PS: If you're lead to think, out of a love of democracy, that the group leader
should be elected, or generally approved of, I'd encourage you still to become
leader *right now* and then contact davorg for the census questions. You can
always pass the baton on later.
