[Wellington-pm] Wellington Perl Mongers 2017

Would it be weird to try to combine with the python group (or something
along those lines)?

The python meet ups tend to range in scope quite a lot. If the perl folks
showed up there and gave perl talks I don't think anyone would spot the
difference immediately.

I haven't been to a Perl meeting in forever but my recollection was it was
a lot of interesting people talking about interesting things.

I wouldn't mind attending a more inclusive get together myself.

I find that in my daily work I'm using about 3 different languages from
moment to moment to get things done. It's nice to gather up and focus on a
slice of that but more variety is more sustainable.

Just a thought -- no specific idea beyond that.
