I've had the same thing happen, especially in the last couple of years. If
you don't have some sort of external system clock, (e.g. a spouse), it's
easy to get out of sync. (I actually misplaced a week when I was due to
teach a course, panicking because I hadn't had the usual confirmation
message the previous week.) Fortunately, I was a week early, rather than
late.
