Some seriously deep thought here. It has applications well beyond computing.

The C code shown is basically nice, but real code should never contain
numeric constants, other than 0, 1, (and perhaps 2 in the case of the
binary search).

It's a pity that all that principled activism has mostly made the world
safe for kitty videos.
