Wish I could have made it out as well, sounds like an very interesting
talk. I've loosely played with AIML (Program-D) to create an interactive
chat-bot for my own personal use, and did some slight integration with flite
and sphinx in order to communicate with the computer verbally and have it
execute commands.
I've had dreams of owning my own HAL or Jarvis (Ironman) type of system :)
