It is primarily a webdev job requiring an understanding of and experience
with LAMP and will include working within a Perl/Mason environment, but
that being said, heres an excerpt from the job description.

Biostatistics seeks a Research Consultant to design web data entry forms
for the collection, tracking, and verification of statistical research
data.  Write, modify, test, and document programs to retrieve data from
scientific databases. Act as liaison between clinical sites and the
clinical trial center, specifically in the implementation of quality
assurance procedures for data collection.  Create and update
administrative databases.  Collaborate with study investigators and
coordinating center personnel on data requests.  Perform statistical
analyses under immediate supervision of senior statistician once data
collection is complete.

Desired:
HTML and CSS experience, web-based programming (PERL, PHP, Python,  
Java or C++ preferred), database design experience (MySQL. Postgres,  
scientific database management systems), Linux administration, Java  
Script.
