I managed to hammer it into place with the addition of an author file
and an http rather than https link.  Site was running a bit slow but
the chatter on #freenode is that they have a new release coming to
speed things up.

What an awesome resource.  Loving git now that I took the leap.  It is
a great tool for certain tasks (not a replacement for subversion, more
a supplement).
