I disagree.  Some things have staying power because they are
best-of-breed.  Like Template Toolkit, which seems to be an essential
component of many of the modern Perl Web frameworks.  Compare that to
EmbPerl, which has been long ago abandoned.  When Things Work, they are
Kept Around.

Again, respectfully disagree.  Catalyst is a nice mature framework, in
use by many large clients of mine.  It's not going away any time soon.
