As a SPUG (Seattle Perl User Group) member, I have 2 suggestions:

1.  Please feel free to make a road-trip to any of our meetings.  If
    you'd like to spend the night, I'll head a "hospitality committee"
    so that you could join us in the pre- and post-meeting gatherings.

2.  Please let us know if you'd like to join forces on a regional Perl
    Monger outing.
