I think we need to vote on whether or not a BBQ is essential to the 
idea.  If it isn't then our option of beach is unlimited and we can 
choose just about anywhere (It didn't seem like there was tremendous 
exception taken to Venice Beach).  If we all really want to get out a 
grill our choice of beach is greatly reduced (and I'm almost positive 
that Venice is out).  Hermosa sounds great to me.  I would actually 
prefer to drive a little bit futher for the taste of real BBQ.  What do 
you guys (gals?) think.  Speaking of Gals... could this become even less 
formal of a meeting and involve various non-Perlish (though they all 
know of it's sanctity) entities?
