I'm not an IRC person (3 times in my life, I think), but I think this
would be a great presentation! It made me remember an old article in
TPJ, so I dug it out and re-read it (issue #10, p. 10, "Infobots and
Purl", Kevin Lenzo). I'm hoping that the sophistication of this kind
of software will soon advance to the level where it will answer my
user mail ("But I *want* a space in my filename!") ;^)

I figure we can shoot ideas around at the social meeting too, where
hopefully more people will appear. www.pm.org suggests inviting a
Guru or Perl Personality to start things off with a bang, and though
he's not on the list of people who've expressed an interest, there's
at least one notable (and articulate) Boulder resident who obviously
meets the description.

Personally, I'm thinking that Boulder.pm is going to be useful for a
wide range of users, and that the community might best be served by a
first technical meeting covering "an introduction to Perl and the
amazing fun and productivity possible". I can't think of a better
evangelist than Tom, and I'd love to get him to speak. At some point
I'll send him an e-mail about it.

Walter
