Hello Dawn,

Thank you for the welcome!

I'd love to help out. I've hosted events before, but to do this I need
some pointers about:

 - Locations:

What kind of venues are available. Maybe there is a place that is
   more convenient for more people.

 - Reaching out to people (again, I'm new here!):

In order to find out times work for people. Also it appears the
Meetup.com link at <https://baltimore.pm.org/> is no longer working.

 - And ideas for what kind of events people want:

I'm thinking things like social event, talk topics, hackathon, etc.

For the last one, I suggest that a social event might be the best way to
get started. I have a lot more ideas, but I want to hear from others
first!

Cheers,
- Zaki Mughal
