APM: Activity?

I attended several meetings with the Python User Group. The meetings were interesting and dynamic. Of course, it helps to have Entought (producer of scientific python distribution) semi-sponsering the meetings.
If we could get 3 people together, we have a meeting. I am building scripts to administerCisco stuff, and would appreciate perlish growth.
Hitting the wall (sorry Larry),

Hi guys,

I would be interested in trying it. I moved here a year ago from San
Diego where I worked for four years as a Perl developer for CBS
Interactive. I went to PM meetings there whenever I could, though it
was 28 miles in the opposite direction from home. I currently live
 in
Hutto, next to Round Rock.

It takes a lot of effort to coordinate events.  I'd be happy if someone
else wanted to coordinate.  I could pass all of "priveleges" over to the
next victi... volunteer.  And of course lend my support and contacts to the
next president.  One year I was elected president because I went to the
restroom at the wrong time.  There are a few groups that would be
interested in providing a meeting place for small groups. Pizza places with
a spare room are good places.  Also, I have a projector and a screen we can
use.

There are some excellent Perl developers in town that could probably
 be
tapped to help present.

Another idea would be to combine the Ruby and Perl groups and do something
formal.  The Ruby group simply does informal lunchs once a week.
