See now, what I want to know is why there's a general belief that replying with UNSUBSCRIBE!!!! (the extra exclamation marks make it work better) has any effect. I know there are some systems that support that but even they only work if you send to the management email, not the mailing list one.

As a corollary to this curiosity, I'm also curious why people think that works on threads.

The troll in me makes me want to reply to those emails even more just to see how much more I can flood their inbox.
