Wow, so no one is using an expert system / DSS ?
I'd always thought the bigger shops would use one for common
troubleshooting problems for the front desk, or is it just that there
are no customizable free ones out there?

We are looking to implement a procedural expert system here where I
work. Is anyone currently using/ know about a good open source solution?
Preferably using as much of the following as possible:
Php
Perl
Web interface
MySQL 
 
I don't want to have to start from scratch with CLIPS!
 
Something generic that we can interactively put the knowledge and rules
into, and fine the cases where not enough information is supplied.
 
Any help is of course highly appreciated.
