As with all truisms, though, this fails at a point, and it's fully possible
to do things like outpace the available hardware and have severe problems
with your (poorly-optimized) application.
It's important to not use that statement to justify "developers should never
have to write good code or optimize it, because hardware is always cheaper
than their time."
