[oak perl] Has anyone used GD before?

I'm looking to do some basic image manipulation for my
web site. Rotate, scale, etc. My ISP only supports GD,
I played around with it a bit, and it looks like GD
will do the job.

While I've found tons of documentation on
Image::Magick, I've found scant documentation on GD
and not really any examples of "Oh, I used GD in this
creative manner to accomplish x, y, z!" 

Any thoughts?
