[Nh-pm] Perl 5.6 ?

Good morning,

I was recently reading job descriptions
at Craigs List - Boston, and one position was 
explicit about the fluency of using 
Object oriented Perl with ver 5.6 ...

I have spent time learning Perl and wrote an extensive
application based on Regular Expressions.

However, I have not looked at O-O perl ...

Is there a lot of interest in O-O perl?
Are there specific types of applications
where O-O perl finds favor?

Yes, I understand that O-O perl readily
applies itself to about any design paradigm,
but I wondered if lots of folks are jumping onto
O-O perl for specific reasons or types of 
applications, or is it a natural progression
that drives interest in O-O perl?
