Hi all!

I'd like to run 5 minute lightning talks at this month's meeting. Do we
have any takers to sign up? Come practice with LAPM what you'll be
presenting at YAPC (june 3-5).

5 minutes. you can do it!

*A definition from our friends at wikipedia:*
A *Lightning talk* is a short
presentation<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Presentation> given
at a conference <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Academic_conference> or
similar forum. Unlike other presentations, lightning talks last only a few
minutes and several will usually be delivered in a single period by
different speakers.
...
The term "lightning talk" was first coined by Mark Jason
Dominus<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Jason_Dominus>
for a similar session at the YAPC 19100
Conference<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yet_Another_Perl_Conference>
(Yet Another Perl <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perl> Conference) in June
2000[2] <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lightning_talk#cite_note-yapc2000-2>
[3] <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lightning_talk#cite_note-Berkun-3> and
gradually spread to other technical conferences.

Peace,
Andrew
