As PERL has no Y2k issues, your tool(s) really has no market
(cannot speak for C; I use it, but very little lately...)

However, if your tool(s) can actually read a programmer's
code and 'know' what they are thinking - where do I sign up?
(I've been looking for a 'mind-reading' perl parser :)

Short answer - you can't parse Perl and say that this
code is Y2k safe and that code isn't.  Either the programmer
wrote good code or they didn't.

Hope this explains 'perl' better.  :]
