Description:
UV Uptime has been developing a hosted third-party monitoring service for
about a two years. It is written entirely in Perl and designed to allow for
a
fully automated web-based signup and setup procedure requiring no
software installations on client servers.
Similar services would be: www.alertsite.com, www.atwatch.com,
 www.alertra.com
We are looking for a developer to finish the program from its current state
and get it into production. The code is nearly complete. We have a specific
TODO list to move it into production. There would be a lot of getting up to
speed with the way the existing programs function with eachother for the
first week or so.
We are looking for somebody who will not job-hop, desires long-term
employment and, if working as a contractor, plans on offering ongoing
support and maintenance.
We require a reliable, self-directed, productive developer.
The position also includes working on other sister-company projects as
they come up. Many of our projects relate to custom system maintenance
programs for clustered hosting setups and working with e-commerce
gateways and billing systems.I
