[Canberra-pm] Introductions

Hi People,

I'll figure I might as well join in this round of introductions :-).

My name is Richard Rose (Moriarty on PerlMonks) and most of my 
programming is in C (don't hold it against me, I'm only learning Perl). 
I work for Hermes Precisa (HPA), here in Canberra, in the Laser Printing 
bureau. HPA handles computer output to almost any form that you would 
like to name. Paper, CD, DVD, microfilm, microfiche, etc. We also scan 
paper so that it can be stored on CD or in a database for later retreival.

My job mainly involves converting client data to HPA's proprietry format 
so that it can be sorted and printed. As I said previously, most of this 
is written in C. Lately I have been learning Perl because some of the 
scripts that I need to maintain have been written in Perl and I'm too 
lazy to rewrite them, besides, Perl seemed to be a good language to 
learn :-).
