Please,

any out there know anything about using perl to convert plain txt to
rtf.

My requirements are simple: just convert a stipulated file so I can
email it as a .doc attachment.

I've tried pulling RTF::Generator from CPAN, but the documentation is
too sparse to get me started :-(

I am using unix/linux type platforms.  Perhaps I don't need perl at all
for this job ?
