The purpose of this list is to discuss issues of general interest to Perl programmers in the greater Boston area, as well as to arrange meetings of the Boston Perl Mongers. Announcements will be sent to this list in addition to our announcements-only list (boston-pm-announce).


Job Posting Policy

Job postings may not be posted directly to the list. Instead, job postings should be sent to rjk@tamias.net and bob.clancy@verizon.net. They will review each posting, and either post it to the list or return it to the sender for editing.

When they send a job posting to the list, the Subject header will include the string "[job]".

Guidelines for job postings:
1. Perl must be a primary aspect of the job.
2. The job must be located in the greater Boston area.
3. The following information should be included in the job posting:
   Required skill-set
   Contract or permanent position?
    Pay range, for contract positions
    Incentives, for permanent positions
   Placement through a recruiter, or directly with the company?
   Location, and whether telecommuting is available
   Company's product or service

Subscribing to Boston-pm

Subscribe to Boston-pm by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator.

    You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext.

    If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription. You can always request a mail-back of your password when you edit your personal options.
