So, on one of the few topics I feel qualified to weigh in on here,
eating and drinking in the State Street/downtown Madison area, just
want to mention that 2 very good, very veggie friendly, Nepally
places, Himal Chuli and Chutara, just 2 blocks west of Moe's. Really
good food and for 30 bucks, you can probably feed 3 and have a beer
each, at least at Himal Chuli, Chutara (owned by the son of the Himal
Chuli family) is little more upscale (better wine choices) and a
Nepally fusion sort of thing but really good.

'course the anti-ist anti would be the Memorial Union, which has 3
separate eating options, lots of good beer options (4! 4 good eating
options, including the Cafeteria) and, of course the Terrace itself,
right on Lake Mendota. Oh and there's Babcock ice cream (5! 5 eating
choices as they serve sandwiches at the ice cream corner ... 6,
really, if you're the kind who can survive on pretzel, popcorn and
beer but ...) made with milk from university educated cows, well, they
live at the U.W. they've got to pick up some stuff.
