[yapc] Elevated trains? What will they come up with next?

I always buy mine from the kiosk in the airport. I've done it in
Midway, and I see that the page:
http://www.transitchicago.com/maps/fares.html#outlet lists O'Hare,
too. You can do it any time of the day, and according to the page,
those things take credit cards, too. I plunk in cash, though. It's
usually a different machine at the end of the line of fare machines. I
figured it out right the first time, and I'm usually a dolt when it
comes to these things.

I do it every time I'm in Chicago and think it's well worth the
convenience, even if I end up not riding much and it ends up costing
an extra $1 or so. Plus, it encourages me to cruise around and see
different parts of the city.

But, on one occasion (I think it was a Sunday evening), the kiosk at
Midway was either out of cards or out of service. I just bought a
regular transit card for $2 or whatever.
