I'm the new PR contact for TPF and I'm trying to solicit feedback from YAPC attendees to use for the next newsletter. If you're able to contribute a short paragraph about the conference; what you thought of it, benefit of going etc, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks in advance, Gavin. For me, the best thing about YAPC is always the opportunity to reconnect with the "tribal spirit of Perl". The organizers are to be commended for arranging a fine hotel at a reasonable price, which set the stage for much valuable social interaction. There's nothing like hanging out in a place where anybody you meet in the hallway turns out to be the author of another module you admire, and has useful insights into the modules you've written yourself! Drinking by the pool with the likes of Randal, Abigail, Uri, Leon Brocard, and Ingy Singh offered additional opportunities to share thoughts on all things Perlish. At the conference itself, masterfully keynoted by The Damian, many interesting papers where presented to complete the experience. YAPC is a must-attend on my conference schedule, both as a tutorial presenter and happy tribal member.
