The next meeting of Wellington Perl Mongers will is next week:

We have two talks lined up: I'll be talking about IOC (Inversion of
Control) and Dependency Injection; and Olly Betts will be talking about
modelling your data in Xapian.

There are also ONLY 7 DAYS LEFT to get your nominations in for the 2010
Open Source Awards.  If you know an individual or an organisation who
are doing good things with Open Source software, get along to the NZOSA
web site and get your nomination in:

The categories are:
Category A: Open Source Use in Government
This award recognises outstanding use of free and open source in the
public sector in New Zealand.

Category B: Open Source Use in Business
This award recognises outstanding use of free and open source in the
private sector in New Zealand.

Category C: Open Source Use in Education
This award recognises outstanding use of free and open source in
education in New Zealand.

Category D: Open Source Use in The Arts
This award recognises outstanding use of free and open source for
creative endeavours or the arts in New Zealand.

Category E: Open Source Software Project
This award recognises the free and open source software that has had the
biggest positive impact on New Zealand in the past two years.

Category F: Open Source Contributor
This award recognises outstanding contributions by a New Zealand
individual or organisation to one or more free and open source projects.

Category G: Open Source Advocate
This award recognises outstanding contributions by a New Zealand
individual or organisation to the positive public perception of free and
open source software.

Category H: Open Source People's Choice Award

This award recognises the individual or organisation that the free and
open source community at large feels is worthy of public
acknowledgement.
