Come on, surely if you are doing something bad and you don't want people
to find out then you just shouldn't be doing it in the first place.

Seriously though: those sorts of remarks have a shelf-life, and it
should be quite short.  It is not in the benefits of the community at
large to be spreading rumours - however well founded in fact - about
perceived problems with others.  And sometimes people change.
