He may include a brief intro for those who have never used HTML::Mason before. * Finlay Thompson has also agreed to talk but hasn't yet decided what would be more interesting. He may be telling us about his recent adventures with RSS or he may give us a different angle on HTML::Mason. If anyone has any requests for talk topics at future meetings, please bring them up on the list. Volunteers are welcome but don't be shy to suggest a topic for someone else to pick up on. He will include a brief intro for those who have never used HTML::Mason before. * Finlay Thompson has also agreed to talk about his recent adventures with RSS. Douglas has volunteered to talk about randomness at a future meeting (and many people are interested). I will be looking for another volunteer or two so get thinking. The slides from those presentations are now up on the web site: http://wellington.pm.org/archive/ Thanks to everyone else for the usual lively feedback. Next month's meeting will be Tuesday April 10th (immediately after Easter). We have one speaker lined up so far (thanks Douglas) and more volunteers are welcome - either on the list or direct to me. Douglas has kindly offered to talk about randomness. I have a couple of things in mind for short talks I could do. That leaves room in the schedule for someone else to do a short talk. If you think you could do a 10 minute talk then let me know. Perhaps Andy would like to defend his use of XML::Mini in Zaapt :-) Cheers Grant From andychilton at gmail.com Tue Mar 27 03:36:46 2007 From: andychilton at gmail.com (Andrew Chilton) Date: Tue, 27 Mar 2007 22:36:46 +1200 Subject: [Wellington-pm] Speaker needed for Perl Mongers in 2 weeks In-Reply-To: <1174989452.11925.4.camel@localhost.localdomain> References: <1174989452.11925.4.camel@localhost.localdomain> Message-ID: On 27/03/07, Grant McLean wrote: > Perhaps Andy would like to defend his use of XML::Mini in Zaapt :-) I have no defense except that it seemed a good idea at the time.
