Hi Mongers
I've been a bit busy of late and have failed to send out my usual
string of reminders about the upcoming meeting.
Meeting: Wellington Perl Mongers
Start Time: 5:30pm Wednesday 2nd May
Location: The Web Limited
Level 6 BP House
Cnr Customhouse Qy & Waring Taylor St
Chilled beverages supplied by The Web Limited
If you haven't attended a meeting since last year, note that
The Web Limited has moved.
What's the topic? Who's presenting?
Well, It looks like Shaun may be back in the country but won't
have had time to prepare his Template Toolkit talk so ...
I suggest a topic of 'Essential Perl Modules' and suggest that
everyone participate on one or more of these levels:
- if you regularly use specific core/CPAN modules that you think
other people might like to know about, come prepared to
'evangelise' about them
- if you have a particular problem you're wanting to solve with
Perl, come prepared to state your problem so that others can
suggest existing modules which could be useful
I have a few thoughts in mind but I'm sure you'd all like to
hear from someone else too :-)
There's also the suggested list of topics up on the web site:
http://wellington.pm.org/
If anyone feels inspired to present on these or any other topics,
please let me know.
If you know someone who might like to attend these meetings,
point them at the web page (above) which contains instructions
for joining this list.
If (heaven forbid) you want to remove yourself from this mailing
list, you can send mail to <majordomo at pm.org> with the following
command in the body of your email message:
unsubscribe wellington-pm-list
Regards
Grant
