Is it OK if I do the paperwork for the devroom? The combination of full time work, PhD and young kids does not leave a lot of time on my hands, so I need to be sure to have the support of the Belgian mongers for the FOSDEM weekend. 2. The deadline for the main track is also pretty close. Can you contact your Perl contacts to see if someone is interesting in giving a talk in the *main* track of FOSDEM? The presence of Perl people may be a convincing argument for people to talk on a non-Perl conference. Info on type of talk: http://www.fosdem.org/2012/call-main-track Thank you (and please reply), Claudio From vlaanderen.pm at wendy.org Fri Oct 21 02:12:04 2011 From: vlaanderen.pm at wendy.org (Wendy) Date: Fri, 21 Oct 2011 11:12:04 +0200 Subject: [Vlaanderen] FOSDEM 2012 In-Reply-To: References: Message-ID: <7.1.0.9. Eudora WvD> Hi Claudio, 1. Please do the paperwork. Thank you that you offer to sacrifice your free time to this noble task. 2. I will repost your mail to the Amsterdam Perl Mongers, the Groningen Perl Mongers and the London Perl Mongers. Maybe one or more of them want to give a presentation in the devroom, maybe more want to attend the presentations. Liz Mattijsen and I will "do" the Perl-booth in the main halls (I will ask later for volunteers to assist us). Doing a booth means that we will bring our library of Perl books and magazines and of course the lovely camel Meeltje. And a lot of flyers, brochures and hopefully a lot of swag to give away (buttons, tuits etc). Thanks again.
