[Tucson-pm] Mod_Perl Developer Position!

Our client has an exciting opportunity for a full time experienced Perl
Coder with extensive knowledge of Web technologies. He or she will
design, develop, test and deploy new components and features for our
websites, and help maintain our large codebase. 
The environment is a combination of Linux and Solaris systems using
Apache, mod_perl, and HTML::Mason with an Oracle database backend. We're
looking for a self-starter who can hit the ground running; an ability to
rapidly familiarize with a complex environment is essential. 
       
Qualifications:         
*       Strong foundation in object oriented Perl programming 
*       5+ years experience source-code programming in a networked
Unix/Linux work environment 
*       3+ years experience utilizing Mason (or similar) web page
templating tool 
*       5+ years experience developing custom mod_perl handlers 
*       5+ years experience source-code programming in a web-applicable
language (other than Perl), e.g., C, C++, Python, etc. 
*       5+ years experience source-code programming Oracle/SQL via Perl
DBI 
*       3+ years experience in advanced JavaScript programming 
*       Ability to work on-site        

General Requirements:           
*       Experience working in a live production environment 
*       Experience with high transaction web server programming and
implications 
*       Experience with need for and use of RCS/CVS 
*       Ability to create scalable and modular code 
*       Experience with query optimization 
*       Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues evolving from the
dynamics of a distributed operating environment in a timely and
efficient manner 
*       Ability to work in a team programming environment or
autonomously (as needed) 
*       Experience working in a multi-server, load-balanced environment
with understanding of implications on program design,
