Thanks, Alan. I really appreciate it. Can't believe it took me this long to respond!
While I'm here, I'd like to remind anyone who is not watching our lu.ma event page that Dave Cross will be speaking to us next week. This is a special event as we're only doing a few of these in 2025.
There is still time to register. You can register even if you do not plan to attend, but would like to be notified afterwards when the talk has been uploaded.

I don't think we've talked about it here, but we are letting the Meetup Group go as it has just gotten too expensive and lu.ma is a good replacement. Alex and I have also been chatting and we thought for 2025 we'd look at putting on fewer events, but making them "bigger". We had Randal talking to us in December and we have Dave next week. We will be putting on lightning talks in September. Not sure if we'll meet in person for that, but they will be streamed. Then likely we'd do a social in December and possibly another virtual talk to coincide with the Advent Calendar.
You can still catch Randal's talk at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fffJnNTcLog We have reached ~2,600 views at this point, which is a pretty high number for a TPM event.
Meeting less seems like a reasonable path forward that allows us to continue to keep in touch, but without the pressure of having something interesting 12 times/year.
