Abram just pointed out to me that folks might want to try out https://www.irccloud.com/ <https://www.irccloud.com/>.  I just started using it yesterday.  It has a nice in-browser way to interact with IRC and the iOS app isn’t bad either.  It’s a pretty low friction way to get set up.

Just enter irc.perl.org <http://irc.perl.org/> as the server name and choose a handle for yourself.  Add the #tpm channel and you’re ready to go.
