I'll add that the original URL given for last Thursday was being recorded, so the session was dropped and restarted so it could be recorded. But the 2nd URL wasn't any different so perhaps thats why it still wasn't recorded ? So I've subscribed to the channel, and then went searching the archive. Sadly it only shows last April's meeting as the most recent recording. ?So last months lightning talks, although broadcast, were (apparently) not recorded and archived. (I had to step out of the hangout early on so I wanted to catch up on what I missed. Guess I can't.) It looks like the process, needs more testing, and practice. ? -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... The October meeting, he tried to record, those of us who were in the room suggested various buttons and links to look under, but there seemed to be no correlation between the interface we saw, and what was described in the (googled) directions for recording a hangout. Finally, we went ahead without recording, because we only had six more hours till the pub closed. In-Reply-To: References: <20171028124738.Horde.LdKijo6rp9ZPnZEVxe83tiZ@echo.gendns.com> Message-ID: Hi Fulko, There are no recordings for the September meeting, and it's my fault. Olaf helped me work out the details of running Hangouts while recording before the September meeting, but I started September's call by calling one of the presenter's directly. This meant that I missed checking the 'record this call' box. October's Hangout was a challenge (as noted above), but was recorded by Stuart on his phone, so that recording should be available. I'm not sure about the audio quality (which would not be Stuart's fault). I can guarantee that I'll have things under control for the November meeting -- I'm going to dig through the Hangouts UI until I find the correct path to run a Hangout while recording it, and then I'm going to document this procedure so that this problam never happens again. Establishing any communications procedure more complicated than a voice call can be tricky, especially if you don't have a co-conspirator at the other end. I'd be happy to help Alex (or Fulko) get the procedure down pat and documented by serving as the audience for a technical rehearsal at a mutually convenient time.
