How about a meeting on the topic of installing multiple versions of Perl
simultaneously? I also have precisely that problem at the moment. It may
be blindingly simple, if you know the rules, but there are modules,
libraries, and paths to consider.

Does anybody feel sufficiently expert to discuss the topic?
