[tpm] RFC: Which Centralized VCS[s] are you using now or in future?

At $work, I'm currently moving from svn to git; I'm mostly OK with
svn, except when it comes to branching and merging. I don't know if
it's a learning disability thing, or whether I don't do it often
enough, but I find merging using svn is very difficult. Branching is
simple, but the only reason I do branching is so I can do a merge
later.

My experience branching and merging with git has been a little better;
I still get alarming messages that my better informed colleagues tell
me not to worry about. (Pushing changes to a named branch give me some
warnings about the main branch, but apparently I can ignore those.)
Sorry, I'm from the old school where if a command gives me a warning,
I want to make 100% sure that things are OK.

And I use git for stuff I'm doing at home -- it's very handy and
lightweight, and since it seems to be the VCS du jour, I like to use
it to stay current.

Alex
