Hi Randal, yes there is, thank you for sending out this question.
I've been slow on getting the word out this month.

Do you have anything you could present? :)  I currently have 1
presenter, and I can give a presentation if need be, but I just wanted
to ask if you had something interesting to talk about since last
meeting.  My talk was going to be on things I learned at YAPC.  Maybe
I could have you give us an OSCON recap, in collaboration with what
I'll mention, if you don't have any other ideas. ;)

I'll send out the announcement for the meeting this Wednesday; please
stand by. ;)

I don't have anything fresh.  I gave "Learning Perl in a Hurry" at OSCON
(a 3-hour version of the normally 18 hour tutorial), but I didn't give
any main-track talks.

I *do* have some ideas about ways to make Perl6 compelling though, and
maybe I could take a few minutes to brainstorm with the group.

To get there:

Take the 101 Freeway to the Lindero Canyon Road exit and head north.
Pass the Memorial Park on your right and turn right at the 2nd light

I've never posted to this list.  We are a small company that is based in Santa Barbara.  We are looking for a perl programmer that would help man our support helpdesk.  We are working on an Open Source project called Koha (it's for library automation - found here -- http://koha-community.org ).  We are fine with someone working from home but would ask that they could travel to Santa Barbara for 2~3 days a week.  Ideally this person would be comfortable reading others code and fixing bugs.  (We are small and growing - so this job does have potential to grow until a development position beyond support needs at first)

Excellent point, Randal.  jobs.perl.org should always be the first
place for Perl jobs. :)  There was actually a YAPC lightning talk
