ReachLocal, Inc. - is looking for a motivated Software Engineer to join its
growing software development team. The ideal candidate must work well in
teams and on individual basis. Your day to day activities will include-
developing, maintaining, testing, supporting, and documenting our external
partner integration software.  You will be required to follow the direction
of your Group Lead in development of new requirements, bug fixes, code
refactoring and other maintenance.  You will be required to work on
integration projects that use various APIs and keep up with updates to the
APIs.  You will be required to develop backend functions and libraries that
house certain business logic. 

Job Requirements 
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience 
3+ yrs Perl Development experience   
3+ yrs writing SQL queries on MySQL database 
Experience integrating with 3rd party APIs (Web Service or other) 
Experience with Software Design Patterns, OOP 
Experience with Web-based software development (mod_perl or other) 
2+ yrs experience with Unix-Based operating system  
Excellent communication, organizational, analytical and problem solving
skills.  
 
Preferred Requirements 
Experience working with search engine marketing APIs such as the Google
Adwords API or the Yahoo! API 
Experience with SOAP Web Services  
Familiarity with the search engine advertising industry  
Experience with PHP or other server-side scripting language 
Experience with HTML, XHTML, JavaScript, CSS
