Hello all.  I've recently signed up, to find a rather quiet user group.  I
suppose it makes sense that several years had passed (almost 6 now) since I
started learning Perl without knowing about SPUG.

Is there still interest in a meetup?  If so, let's get something going for
February!

I should point out that the 3rd Tuesday in February is the day after a
holiday weekend and during mid-winter break for many local school
districts, i.e. it may be a poor choice for our first meeting in years, in
terms of gauging demand for possible future turnout. :D

Shaun, that I used the phrase "first meeting in years" should fill-in the
answer to other question you posed.

Historically, regrouping has revolved around having a major non-local
figure in the Perl community in town and offering to present. For those of
us who work on the Eastside, that represents a big enough draw to get us
Downtown at 6 on a Tuesday.... :D

I'm in Tacoma, if anyone on this list is down this way I'd be happy to
meet up, anytime, anywhere. I don't make it up to Seattle much any more
though; I am going to be in town this Wednesday evening for an Ag Tech
forum.

I'm in Auburn, so a south end meetup would work equally well for me, as
would an east side meetup.

I think that if we get enough interest for a meetup in February (and of
course a location), it would be great to have a meetup despite not having a
high profile presenter.

Any other folks from the east side or south end interested in hosting?
