Working as a member of the enterprise Performance Engineering team, the
successful candidate will be responsible for developing, executing and
analyzing performance tests against BlackBerry's enterprise solutions to
ensure they meet the highest performance and reliability requirements.
Enterprise Services and Products are mission critical for our customers.  
Performance, scalability and robustness are very important.  This person
will play an integral part in improving the next generation of BlackBerry
Cloud and On-Premise solutions.

As a Performance Specialist you will:

 - Develop test plans and strategy documents
 - Execute and Analyze Performance test cases in the following areas:
   Capacity, Stability, Robustness and Disaster Recovery.
 - Debug and troubleshoot failed tests with development and follow through
   until resolution.
 - Assess the performance of BlackBerry Cloud and On-Premise enterprise
   solutions to define system capacity and stability.
 - Collaborate with development, operations and project teams to identify
   performance improvements.
 - Consolidate and communicate performance results to various roles with
   varying levels of technical skills.

To be successful in this role:

 - University degree in computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent.
 - 3+ years experience in performance testing, software testing and/or
   monitoring large scale services.
 - Able to identify software performance issues and their impact on hardware
   resources
 - Experience in collecting and analyzing performance related data.
 - Have a good understanding of how to scale cloud based services and/or
   enterprise grade software products.
 - Ability to work hand in hand with developers in resolving any performance
   issues.
 - Proven track record of consistently meeting commitments by defining a test
   strategy and test plan that may be based on ambiguous performance
   requirements.
