SPUG: Is Perl for .NET on anyone's radar?

I'm beginning to learn C# for work and read somewhere that there is a
compatibility between Perl and .Net, but didn't mark where I saw it.
I'm interested to learn more about it, but haven't made time for it.
I've also been absent from the last several SPUG meetings, so maybe
this is the topic to get me involved again.
