Although a classic BOFH reply like

The command `rm [filename]` will delete the top and bottom line from 
your file

comes to mind, I would suggest that Mr (?) Verma invest in the Perl 
Cookbook, a fine tome that will answer these questions and many others. 
A primary benefit to this modest investment is receiving easy to follow 
pragmatic advice in the privacy of your workspace, without being 
subjected to flaming by the author.
