Another great turnout at tonight's meeting with about 42 folks. Randal
Schwartz, as always, is an excellent speaker. We're very lucky to have him
visit and give his presentation on The Once and Great Perl or Perl: Past,
Present, Future. He gave us a whirlwind review of the Perl history from
Perl 1.0 through 5.8.6 and what we can expect from Perl 6.

The tables at the meeting were setup a little differently tonight. For
folks that have made it tonight (and maybe the last few meetings): what
did you think of the table arrangement? Good? Bad? Why?

Colin took a group photo of everyone at the meeting which will be used as
our group photo at Meetup.com. At the moment, SPUG is the second largest
Perl Meetup.com group (yes, behind NY.pm, of course).

Thanks to all those who showed up and made the meeting happen tonight. It
was the last SPUG meeting for 2004. Looking forward to seeing everyone
next year on Tuesday, January 18, 2005.

Happy Holidays and a Perlish New Year
