If you are using Windows...

The FTP built into IE is not too great (it only seems to
do binary transfers), but if you open up two IE windows
and point them to two different FTP sites, you can use
the standard Windows GUI to drag files/folders from one
window to the other.  (You can also drag from an FTP
site to/from a folder on your hard drive.)

So, might help...
